Barbecue

We reserved our table on the same day for 6.30, was taken straight to our seat, waitress was the best We’ve had in New York!! Food was spot on and everything was as expected, from the corn bread, brisket, ribs, chicken and especially the burnt end beans!! Wow, they were literally the best I’ve ever eaten. Great draught beers and very clean and tidy and bill was a mere $100 which for just being off time square was unreal. Loved this place and if cost NYC again will return

Food is great but service is only so so. But the ribs are always wonderful...as well as sides like cornbread, collard greens, baked beans, hush puppies are all FANTASTIC!!! And I love that you can get good sweet tea here as well. They always seem to be packed...yet I was still tempted to take away one star due to the so so service. But I gave the star back because they currently have a complimentary digital postcard/picture machine right outside where you can get pics taken with your friends/family before or after your dining experience. I am not a tourist...but I just think this is a super cute and fun idea!!!

Excellent experience in Virgils. Exactly what you would expect from a BBQ house just off times square. Attentive and friendly staff. Big meals. Good range of local beers. Great relaxed atmosphere. Only the teeniest bit pricey for what the food is, although it’s in the heart of times square. Would recommend.
